X2 cut how you do yours?

Recommended Posts

Passenger side on the glass first, Driver side on top of it. Cut and double shrink. I typically do not double cut s.u.v. rear side windows. they are usually different sizes due to the overhead hvac running up one side. Also, not sure how many other people do this, but when I roll my film out on the car, I roll one piece over the front and rear, then split them in the gap between the two doors.

I think I probably do it a bit different & slower than others, but-

Film to glass liner up.

Line up bottom edge & lock in place

Add a reversed piece of film liner in, line up & tack.

Use a sharpie & mark all 4 side corners.

Roll down enought to cut top edge, cut top edge.

Then on the peel board use a ruler to line up the sharpie marks & cut.

For me, though i can do it other ways, this is the most reliable way I've found.

same but I lay the release liner down first and the second piece toward me. Less chance of scratching the film and it doesn't shift/slide apart from one another when trying to cut your corners. ;)
