On the fence

Damn straight. 35 nailed it. If you're in, you're ALL in. Either take the leap or take a seat. If you keep one foot in the boat, you aren't really swimming on your own.

I quit my high paying management job with a local tint shop two weeks after my first son was born. I was earning fantastic money, but being treated like crap by the owners. I didn't want my son to grow up thinking that was ok, so I quit and decided to work for myself. My family staged an intervention. They thought I'd lost my mind.

They were wrong.

My son was all the motivation I could possibly need to ensure that failure was no longer an option. And as for what my family thinks...

Lions don't lose sleep,

over the opinions of sheep.

That was almost nine years ago. If you want it bad enough, nothing will stop you.

Dude you just blew my mind. Apart from having a high paying job previously, this is exactly me! Wtf!

Looks like you got a bright future in tinting windows and driving high performance Fords then! :-P

Try to get into doing work for your local auto dealerships. I use to make a good living off of just working through them.

This right here is a great idea. I have a dealership across the street. It took me being over there almost everyday talking to everyone. I ended up tinting 2 for free and then bam!! Got em all!! That's all it took.

It wasn't a Ford dealership was it?

WOW, C2C, 35, Ultra, and Roach...Cannot agree more with your firsts posts in this thread.  Like y'all, I took that leap, and in order for my foot to find the ground, it took doing things that I didn't think I could do, but I did it, and my foot landed on success.  In business, reward doesn't come without risk.

WearTheFoxHat, Dave Ramsey has been a blessing for our family.  We operate our business debt free, and have no car payments.  We are living our lives like no one else so we can live our lives like no one else in the future.

Success and happiness is always defined differently, but I can tell everyone, I have a woman that loves me, kids that love me and desire my attention, and everyday I can come home with a smile.

You know better than anyone your monthly bills currently and what modifications you could make in lifestyle that would help you jump in. Let me share a photo of a little piece of paper a friend gave me years and years ago that has special meaning to me.

Any aspects of your move you would like to talk about please call.

Cheers my friend

Stan

Great advise from all , heck I even learned some , gonna check out Entreleadership . Make sure if there is anyone else involved in any capacity that they are on the same page as you , Starting something new can be taxing enough ,relational issues will beat you down . Best of Luck when you go for it :thumb
