Hyundai appears to be using some pretty soft glass. This was done during just normal cleaning pre-install w/ a new flat blade. First window I've ever done this to.

Absolutely no need for scrapers on new glass except for removing stickers.

wait, I've cleaned every car from new to old with a straight edge blade...

 

so now your saying you don't need to clean new cars? I tint cars before they even get delivered, what other method do you use on new cars? just spray wipe/clean install?

Not really having a go at you, but cleaning new cars with a scraper is not necessary and will only lead to a lot of glass etching.

You only need a white scrubbie for new glass.

Keep your scrapers for old crusty crap and save yourself a ton of grief.

At Coasts recommendation I switched to the Gator Blade today. Tinted 3 vehicles, all came out perfect. I'll be switching to these and just use blades for REALLY nasty glass and stickers.

new cars, no scrapers...  I use the blue pads, non - scratch.  Old crusty cars, then I scrape.  I have been using scraperite blades, they work fine.

I just did a search for Gator Blades they are for lawn mowers ?
