I've heard that there are some areas Texas that have it figured out.  I heard they have the highest price per job of just about anywhere.  It's because all of the shops are high dollar.  There aren't any "cheap"shops in these places.  Now we can't control that, but it would be nice if that were the case in more areas.  :dunno

So, I've figured out that TintSlime is wrong in their claim that it doesn't break down. It says it on the bottle   :wrong

I have been using it in my automatic sprayer and I keep having to take the screen out of the wand and clean what looks like dryer lint off of it..  when I get down to about a gallon left, I can look in the bottle and see particulates floating around.  When I noticed this, I emptied the bottle and I had to create a tool just to get a brush down into the bottle to scrub it clean.  Did so and it is still doing it..  I still like it better than baby shampoo, but the false advertising is a bad thing, I think.   :nono

Just got back from one of the worst contractor home shows. What a waste of 4 hours.

I felt that way about the last car show I went to.  Are you working today??

Sorry that was a bust.  I was supposed to have an 11:00 but I didn't make the appointment.  Whoever did, didn't get a phone # soo  :twiddlingthumbs

      South facing windows DR film

      Install went great. I went with NV-25, I am very happy. The room has been darkened significantly, from bright and hot to much more pleasant and enjoyable. Watching TV during the day is no longer blinding, when it is cloudy it is definitely a bit gloomy, I am glad I did not go with NV-15. I plan on getting more windows done in the future to help cut down on heat energy. Thanks for everyone's input!

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      Captain Obvious has two cents err senses to share: 1) The film should be removed and replaced, because it appears to have adhesive blemishes that shouldn't be there, and 2) The film should be reviewed/inspected once taken from the roll to avoid losing time and resources due to manufacturing issues. Little pieces not so much, but back glass and windscreen pieces ... definitely.

      I switched so long ago... first to KDS but they went away. NT are great though. I use a piece of white strapping material as a cutting buffer between the blade and glass. Some use a button but I didn't like the feel..

      Headlight Taillight Vinyl question... (Looking for CHROME)

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      I can't win with getting tint decent on the windshield. I had 3M on my F150 done twice and still has major defects. Recently did Stratos twice on my F350 and I see this granular spotted, texture pattern on the tint. It's super obvious in the corner here but also right in my view when driving. It's honestly hard to point out and show someone but when your driving and stuff is moving behind the windshield, it becomes more obvious. The lighting also matters. The first time I did the windshield, I had a two foot line on the windshield. Thinking it was tint, they removed the tint and it was apparently a defect in the Ford windshield. An issue between the laminated glass layers caused this big defect. So they removed the tint, I had Ford replace the windshield on a 2024 F350 but when the tint shop removed the tint, they made a bunch of micro scratches in the front windshield, probably from scrapping the glue off. I told them but I didn't care since Ford was replacing the windshield anyways. So if basically I'm trying to figure out what this texture stuff is and if I should have them replace or remove it. Replacing it might just have different issues but also afraid they will scratch the windshield.
