I am opposite, I don't want my Rep contacting me.  It can get very annoying when it is every other week.  If I have question, concern, etc I will reach out to the rep...don't need to be babied.  Same when I shop, I don't want employees constantly asking me if I need help.  I know how to find you if I have a question or need something unlocked.  No hand holding here.

I guess atleast Suntek is not doing this yet. We were considering llumar but they can't come close to our current pricing especially their architectural film. Whoa $$

I would happily pay more for Llumar over Suntek, we pay triple plus that for Huper Optik. All about what you charge the client.

Why's that? Is basic black better than standard pro? Is atc better than carbon? The DR films look pretty much identical to me.

Now with cutting out performance films dist. I'm curious to see how Eastman handles everything and what the future brings.

ATC would be compared to Suntek Standard...they are both standard Dyed films. However, yes I would put ATC on my car before Carbon. TSER numbers are not much better on Carbon vs ATC which for a higher technology film that I would pay more for kind of sucks. Llumar also has a Nationwide Lifetime Warranty which as a consumer I would be more interested in getting. Plus how easily it is to scratch Suntek. :twocents

What professional film does not have a nationwide warranty?

I for one won't pay for llumar. I get, IMO, better film with global for less than 2/3 the price. I used llumar for a bit and had more little issues with it than I did with FTI sungard. I have had no issues with global in the 8 years I have used it.

Do they have you listed as a authorized dealer? Do they give you access to marketing materials to you for advertising? Do they have a rep that hands out goodies for trade shows or throw you shirts and coffee cups or anything else to keep you purchasing their film?

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      Captain Obvious has two cents err senses to share: 1) The film should be removed and replaced, because it appears to have adhesive blemishes that shouldn't be there, and 2) The film should be reviewed/inspected once taken from the roll to avoid losing time and resources due to manufacturing issues. Little pieces not so much, but back glass and windscreen pieces ... definitely.

      I switched so long ago... first to KDS but they went away. NT are great though. I use a piece of white strapping material as a cutting buffer between the blade and glass. Some use a button but I didn't like the feel..

      Headlight Taillight Vinyl question... (Looking for CHROME)

      I'm looking for a chrome/mirror wrap for headlights/taillights. No NEOchrome, just a mirror or chrome appearance. Looking to spice up a project. Looking for transparent so can see lights thru film. I have looked and can't find what fits the bill. Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      I can't win with getting tint decent on the windshield. I had 3M on my F150 done twice and still has major defects. Recently did Stratos twice on my F350 and I see this granular spotted, texture pattern on the tint. It's super obvious in the corner here but also right in my view when driving. It's honestly hard to point out and show someone but when your driving and stuff is moving behind the windshield, it becomes more obvious. The lighting also matters. The first time I did the windshield, I had a two foot line on the windshield. Thinking it was tint, they removed the tint and it was apparently a defect in the Ford windshield. An issue between the laminated glass layers caused this big defect. So they removed the tint, I had Ford replace the windshield on a 2024 F350 but when the tint shop removed the tint, they made a bunch of micro scratches in the front windshield, probably from scrapping the glue off. I told them but I didn't care since Ford was replacing the windshield anyways. So if basically I'm trying to figure out what this texture stuff is and if I should have them replace or remove it. Replacing it might just have different issues but also afraid they will scratch the windshield.

      Need some help

      Never overlook the condition of the floor. Back when I did install, I used to mist the floor between the vehicle and the peel board. This is done between misting the window and walking toward the peel board to mist the pattern liner, peel liner and spray adhesive for install. Tacks any dust for the duration of each pattern install, so repeat each time a pattern is going to be installed.
