I try.. the problem I have is that we go out the back door... which I can't see from my living room, which is where we normally are... so they never get to the point of going to the door when they need to go out.

I basically take them out after eating, after napping, and if I see them sniffing around like they need to go potty. (Kindof learn that for each puppy)

I could probably wire something up where it's either a noise or blinks a light in the living room. That would actually be pretty cool. :thumb

You could simply start with the light on the floor in the room you are in, and do the positive reinforcement thing if they make it come on.

If they start to pick up on that little part, them start switching to if they want out, they hit light, no matter where it is, as a signal. The signal could be anything (outside-food-water-- or just play time) once reinforced properly.

I think the doing their thing outside, sit and stay are good for a puppy.

We were happy that our dog knew sit and how to walk on a leash when we adopted him. Although when we told him to lie down he would shake a paw lol. Now he knows Lay down and shake a paw from each other. Among other things. Next is getting him to talk (I love talking Huskys) :thumb
