Our film specs are on 1/8 inch clear glass.

Most vehicles have have 70-80% glass.

Specs on heat rejection change.

Seems like the standard would be tempered for auto and dual pane for residential specs. Goes back to the we can make the numbers look however we want to though.

I'm pretty sure automotive glass is thicker than 1/8th. And is also slightly tinted (aka , green glass)

Which makes F1's point a little more relevant. :dunno

It seems the post has gone in a different direction. Do our films heat rejection #s drop on 70% glass?

So a films 57% tser is on clear glass

Would 70% vlt glass with same film be 57%tser ?

Automotive films testing is done on clear 1/8" glass

We don't have clear glass on cars anymore
