Since 1989 I have only used a steamer once and that little one you have posted on eBay is about it/diff model and it doesn't hold much water and takes a while to get hot then its empty

Side windows can be razored off in 5min ea or less if its hot and lots of rear glass film pulls right off and soak the glue and scrub

And the worst film the steamer only loosens it so it razors off easyier

To bag it I use straight ammonia. To clean glue off either spray way or soap and water with razor on sides or 0000 steel wool for back glass. Also in the top right hand corner there's a search button. Most of these topics have been discussed and can be found pretty quickly through search.

If you bought low quality from from Express its most likely Korean so you may remove and it may not leave no glue at all! If it does there are some chemicals out there like "TINT OFF" or Simply Pink ( i think thats what is called) and it will loosen up the adhesive. After removing the film off the back window if it leaves glue you respray / soak glass with "TINT OFF" and re bag it and after 10 minutes that stuff usually just dissappears right off. Have Fun!

      South facing windows DR film

      Install went great. I went with NV-25, I am very happy. The room has been darkened significantly, from bright and hot to much more pleasant and enjoyable. Watching TV during the day is no longer blinding, when it is cloudy it is definitely a bit gloomy, I am glad I did not go with NV-15. I plan on getting more windows done in the future to help cut down on heat energy. Thanks for everyone's input!

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      Captain Obvious has two cents err senses to share: 1) The film should be removed and replaced, because it appears to have adhesive blemishes that shouldn't be there, and 2) The film should be reviewed/inspected once taken from the roll to avoid losing time and resources due to manufacturing issues. Little pieces not so much, but back glass and windscreen pieces ... definitely.

      I switched so long ago... first to KDS but they went away. NT are great though. I use a piece of white strapping material as a cutting buffer between the blade and glass. Some use a button but I didn't like the feel..

      Headlight Taillight Vinyl question... (Looking for CHROME)

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      I can't win with getting tint decent on the windshield. I had 3M on my F150 done twice and still has major defects. Recently did Stratos twice on my F350 and I see this granular spotted, texture pattern on the tint. It's super obvious in the corner here but also right in my view when driving. It's honestly hard to point out and show someone but when your driving and stuff is moving behind the windshield, it becomes more obvious. The lighting also matters. The first time I did the windshield, I had a two foot line on the windshield. Thinking it was tint, they removed the tint and it was apparently a defect in the Ford windshield. An issue between the laminated glass layers caused this big defect. So they removed the tint, I had Ford replace the windshield on a 2024 F350 but when the tint shop removed the tint, they made a bunch of micro scratches in the front windshield, probably from scrapping the glue off. I told them but I didn't care since Ford was replacing the windshield anyways. So if basically I'm trying to figure out what this texture stuff is and if I should have them replace or remove it. Replacing it might just have different issues but also afraid they will scratch the windshield.
