F1 Stratos vs Pinnacle in the real world?

Recommended Posts

Besides heat rejection, were there any other notable differences between Pinnacle and Stratos?

Such as any improvements in optical clarity, hue, rainbow-effects, or anti-reflectiveness?

What was the price difference between the 2 films?

I'm going to get mine done at Tint Pros (huntington beach location)

$200 more for all windows. If you're doing the windshield, up that to $300 more.

Thanks, I got a quote and I found what you've said to be accurate for that place.

I'm still on the fence on Pinnacle vs Stratos though. Also I'm getting a tint strip instead of windshield film and can't decide between 5% or 15% for it.

Also, im a bit disappointed that they can't do the A pillar triangle windows on my 2016 VW GTI.

I've seen em done, and am not interested.. Tinter's will never be Volkswagen fans. They seem to go out of their way to screw with us... I'd charge an additional 100$ or more to remove the panels around that window you can't even see out of and offer no warranty.

I've visited 4 tint places, and only 1 say they can do the triangle windows and without removing any panels. Unfortunately, that place doesnt carry Llumar film (only Johnson).

Anyways, I'm getting my tint done this week w/o the triangle windows done, so i guess I'll see if not having it done bothers me. Would it be out of line for me to ask for a small discount because of this?

If you want a clean install, the A pillars have to be removed.

We rarely can do a clean install on the quarter....that we just don't do them no more.  I don't think customer will pay extra $50 for us to remove A-pillar for the little quarter.

Good luck on getting it install...but it will take some time removing that film if it have imperfections.

I'd pay an extra $50 for it to be done, but i'd rather not if it means panels have to be removed. I'm just getting 50% all around so chances are that a non-tinted A pillar won't be very noticeable.
