Fun fact for today - At it's height, in 1999, there were over 2 million payphones in the USA, with 20% of them being in New York.

How to raise the bay door.  

 

Stretch +   

 

1 = Heave heavy ass door up and kick step stool under door.  Take a break.  

B = Heave heavy ass door up and hold with one arm while maneuvering short 2x6 under door.  Take a break.  

3 = Heave heavy ass door up above head and hold with one arm while maneuvering 6ft 2x6 under door.  Take a break.  

4 = stand on step stool, heave heavy ass door up and hold while moving 6ft 2x6 without dropping it, and then maneuver 8ft 2x4 under door.  Take a break and pull vehicle into bay.  

E = Hope you still have it in you to reverse this process without losing door and letting it come crashing down,   AND hope like hell you don't lose one of the sticks of wood and let it fall into the vehicle you just pulled into the bay.     side note :  If you should happen to lose control of one of the 2x's and let it fall into a tail light and brake it.  Well, that's gonna cost you more than having the spring fixed.    

Now tint the vehicle and hope you have enough in you to do this all over again.

Yep.  Especially when you got a couple of set of doors that only take about 45min. each.
