  1. Hope is well with the site ! Lots has changed here I'm sure [emoji4]. One of the old school original members here ready to make regular appearances to share and receive knowledge as in the past, now that I e finally hired and have a great employee after working in solitude after a couple of decades in the tinting business, it frees me up to mingle a bit more . Greetings to the old schoolers still here and greetings to the newer members [emoji4][emoji106]

    A special shoutout to Ric ! [emoji4][emoji106]

  2. As I say , I did lots of these when they were new from the dealership. If your going to do 2 pieces, use a 24" roll and overlap on the 7th heater wire from the bottom . Don't forget to cartwheel the second pull off the 24" roll so the grain of the tint doesn't look different than the first peice :trustme

  3. This might seem like overkill but what I did is I ordered a new back window from Honda that way I can shrink on the stand and then install.  We've already done about 6 so far this year so its gonna be a popular car.  Im charging every customer an extra 40.00 dollars above the average price to make up for the price of the window.  Im already a third of the way there.  I realize this is isn't the best answer if you are doing low volume but this is definitely a huge time saver.

I did this with a back window years ago because I was doing so many of them for the dealer. It payed off great. If I had the Honda dealer in town , I'd do the same . How much was the window ?
  4. I thought I would add a couple of extra tips on this car that came to mind since I just got tinting 2 of them.

-Seals on doors easily remove out once removing 1 torx bolt per door hidden underneath the trim.
-After replacing the 3rd brake light , bend the metal tabs down slightly to make it easier to slide back into place.
    - double up your mounting concentrate for bg as it floats into place much better.
    - remove the side pillars for the bg foe easier installation. They come out quite easy and it's worth it for the extra wiggle room .

  5. Hope this helps , I just talked to the owner of TintTek . Keep in mind it's Saturday night . They will be open Monday morning to help you.

He said your not locked out . He'll take care of it for you. Hope this helps a bit . Here's his reply :

    "

Thanks Brad. I'm out of town and will look after that Monday. It's not a lock out issue he has. I believe his windows did an update maybe last night unexpectedly and there for the Flexi side of the software doesn't work."

So hold on till Monday [emoji106]

  6. Don't forget to overcompensate the distance away from the rear defrost . You'll be surprised when you lay it up on the inside of the glass how much closer it will get to the defrost bar. A pain if you have to cut extra out after the fact. I use to tint lots of these in the day when they were new from the dealership. agreed with heating the dovetail and do yourself a favour and sand the black lines for a bit better bond
