When I was hand cutting everything every day, I would do that a lot, the angle is everything. But, you can only do that on certain cars. There are plenty of models out there that will bite you in the a&$ for doing that. You’ve got to know which ones.

Use a "battery terminal puller" to pop them off.

most parts stores have thin pin stripe tape, & yes shrink over it.

That last layer can really try your patience. Like jh812 said, steamer & patience. Let the steamer do the work & a plastic razor blade to lift it.

Done precut rear window, make relief cuts on the sides (up to window).
This makes it easier to see where you can shrink.

I think the question has not been answered.
Has any one experienced real world film failure because of dish soap? Not in a lab setting.
I have used it many times in 27 years of hanging film. And have yet to see any premature failure (automotive that is).

Going through this (again) now. I find that wearing a wrist brace at night helps. I had bad wrist pain 4 years ago & found wearing a wrist brace help a lot.
It just started again a month ago.
Dont try and tint with the brace on, because it will be more painful. Wear it when your not working.
