I'd be careful with what you apply. Depending on the type of glass, the size, exposure and partial shading, applying the wrong film can lead to thermal fracturing. 

They might be harder to see if you re-tint them, but they aren't going away.

Hmmm. I also notice the scratches don't go all the way down, or to the top.

It almost looks like someone used one of those old metal gasket shields to hold the flap back when they were tinting it.

Those are on the inside?

Since they are all parallel and follow the direction the window rolls up, I would guess that something abrasive got between the door flap and the glass, rolling up and down then caused the scratches.

The tint was covering it making it unnoticeable.

That looks like a complete hack job to me.

Using a customer's film is always risky unless you know what it is.

How long have you had the car? Never noticed it before? Only way to know for sure is to remove and see if you can notice it without the film.

Is that your windshield? Just so you know that's not legal anywhere as far as I know.

It's not normal, but it could be the glass and the film is amplifying it. 

It's the thickness of the stickers and lettering. The film has to lift up and over the edges, it will not seat down there. Every film will do that. To avoid, the sticker must be removed. Nothing can be done about the lettering on the etching.

Hard to tell whats going on there. It looks like 2 different issues. 

First thing I'd recommend is not using clay block.

The first pic looks like it might be from clayblocking in circles where it picked something up and made fine scratches, or squeegeeing against them during installation (instead of side to side) maybe dragging air making those marks. I dunno.

The second pic looks like residue from an old bubbled tint job.  

Yeah, if it's that bad they should replace is asap, especially on the windshield. Him getting warrantied is not your problem. In my opinion.

Man, I can't tell what's going on there. Maybe someone else will chime in.

It's hard to tell what's going on there. I doesn't seem like eat gun damage, more like something scraped it sideways. 

In my opinion, that's a redo. A couple of specks here and there is normal, but not a couple of hairs. I'm sure if you take it back and show them they will redo it. Hard to believe they didn't see them though.

What crap is being stirred? What does he have to gain?

I think it's the latter, there's no way the installer didn't see that. Probably left water around it to get it out the door.

You always think we are being punked.  Why would he lie about something like this? 

It definitely looks like adhesive of some kind, but It's hard to believe it would be like that after a removal. Who knows. If they let that out the door it could have been anything.

That's not normal, that's some really bad contamination under the film. 

Looks like it was tinted by Stevie Wonder.

The spec will cause the bubble to remain. All jobs have some degree of contamination, it's our job to keep it to a minimum and to press out any air around contamination to make them less noticeable before it dries.. 

So, how did this work out? Sorry no one had any advice.
