MT1 reacted to Film Me Now in Low Pay
This is for the shop owners looking for “Experienced Help”. If you want to have good employee’s and want people to stay and work for you, you cant be an ass on the phone to people seeking employment tnat call you, you cant offer $250 a day as top pay and expect to have quality help.
I was told this am that $250 a day is a lot of $ for a tinter to make in the San Diego area. LMAO Get real people, $250 a day? hell a guy can easily schedule 2 cars a day and make $400 doing 2 cars with no one in your face but the customer.
Again, if you are a shop owner and cant keep help or figure out why you cant keep help, these are some pretty good indications its not the installer’s.
This industry had become a joke when it comes to looking for decent employment, no wonder so many people are out there on their own and shops can only find hacks to hire.

I would have your attorney talk to your landlord. That is just wrong.

That sucks, we had that happen to us in the Park our shop is in. The suits across the parking lot are owned by someone else and they rented one out to another tint shop. The guy came in offering $99 jobs but luckily it didn’t hurt us, I enjoyed having a lot full of cars while they were out front with nothing to do watching me pull car after car in and out for tint. Needless to say they lasted about 5 months and then one morning they were gone

The only thing you can do is try and turn it into a positive, which I know may be difficult. I would have my shop pristine at all times with all employees very professional looking polos or what not. Try and set yourself way apart from them. Anyone can beat you price, but it's tough to beat the one that wants to outdo.

You can also get 2 1/2 gallon kegs with all the parts to rebuild as nessary.
I paid 119$ for the 5 cal and 109$ for the 2 1/2. I could have got the used one but I like new stuff.

MT1 got a reaction from TintDude in Pic of the Week #561 Submissions
I had the pleasure of installing frost on the upper windows above the ceiling grid. Had to do this on a lift roughly about 35 - 40 feet straight up. The challenges here was to work between the grid without crashing the lift into some else's drywall work !
Fun times for sure !

MT1 got a reaction from TintDude in Sharing some more flat glass work !
this one was fun ! I had to stand on the middle rungs of the lift basket to even begin to touch the windows on this one. Windows were about 40x70 in full sun. It was about 100f up there using frost film with ps adhesive. The glass was set back about three feet from the edge of the basket .
somehow this got done before 5pm.
