Yes just pull the from the top toward the middle of the car. It’s held in by clips and a bungee cord so don’t pull to far. Once out take the cord off of the panel. There’s also another plastic retainer that’s made to keep the panel in place once the airbags deploy. That you need a 90 degree pick. It has four retaining clips two on top and two on the bottom. Just pull and pick the clips up to get it out of the sheet metal. Once out grab the panel and pull towards the front of the car. This will make the install a breeze. I usually tape all the modules to prevent slip from getting in as there a lot of slip with a glass this big. Use microfiber rope at the bottom of the glass to soak up excess moisture.

Nothing like getting a new challege after 3 pm! I've been bottom loading since the beginning so I got a little crazy (or stupid) with this one. One piece seals, like the A8. The panels come off pretty easy, as do the plastic seal covers around the sides and top. Start working the wood trim from the front, be careful it feels pretty brittle. Its got some little tabs that have to be wiggled a little and then twisted out because of a large tab in the back. On the front there is 1 T25 behind the trim, one behind the speaker grill, and one under the armrest. On the rear, 2 T25 under the trim, one under the armrest. The plastic along the sides and top just pulls off with a little effort in the front, it is held on by tape in the rear corner. I just pulled the sides on the rear doors, the top has two screws holding the shade buckle on and I didn't feel like walking back to my tool bag. I pulled the rubber out at the bottom all the way to the edge and tucked it over the metal lip. The corners are still a little tight but it helps a lot.

You will need a Titan or something similar to get the quarters done. Also there is a pile of expensive looking electronics on the RIGHT side of the trunk that I can only imagine is the infamous amp situation. The brake light cover pulls straight back like all recent Audi sedans.

If you are going to two stage this one good luck!

I use equate brand as well and find I have to use a little more than the j&j. I make fresh bottles of slip as I go. I notice if I premake my slip in the morning, by afternoon it wouldn’t be as slippery

So I had a customer come in with a lex ct200. Her car was already tinted with what looked like a 50%. She wanted to make the tints darker but she didnt want to pay extra for removing the old tint so I explained to her that I could put a darker tint on top of her current tint to hell her save money but that there could be issues down the line since it was 2 layers of tint. She decided to go with the 2 layer option. A week later she’s call me complaining her kids are having breathing issues and blames it on the second layer of tint. All I could do was laugh in my head and told her to bring her kids to the doctor cause I never heard of tint restricting air into the car. After another week she calls me telling me that she brought her car to the original guy that tinted her vehicle the first time and he had told her that I shouldn’t never put a second layer of film on in the first place and that the second layer could be the cause of the issue that her kids were experiencing. So after the bs, I ended up ripping off the tint I had put on reimbursed her money minus material costs and told her to invest the money into seeing a doctor cause there wasn’t something right about her kids.
In any case has anyone ever heard of experienced I’m not an asshole by nature but I can’t help but laugh every time I here her say her kids can’t breathe because of window tint. Guess people don’t have common sense to roll down a window or turn on the ac.

I know I prob shouldn’t have reimbursed her but she was one of those ladies who would keep nagging you until she was satisfied. And plus the fact her other installer put in her head that I was to blame made her adamant that it was the tint causing the lack of air.
Still learning a lot to this trade esp. the customer service part. I still have to bite my tongue at times dealing with assholes.

I was able to pull back the layer I installed with a steamer making sure not to lift he first piece of film. There was only a couple spots with glue residue which I cleaned up with some rubbing alcohol.

I double shrink the bottoms of BG...I lift up film halfways and anchor the sides and shrink the middle again helps a lot with random fingers...

Yea I’ve had the same issue. Pain goes away in about 2 weeks. Been to the doctors and all they suggest is physical therapy. Even working in these smaller cars like an frs I’ve tweaked my neck a couple times

Yea! the button or a piece of plastic from your core ends of your tint boxes will work perfect

You don't have to have a plotter to not cut on glass, you've just gotta improvise. Use a Sharpie,  button, or plastic banding strap. If you don't have a glass wall to cut on get a white board or plexi glass. The blades now are made to cheap and glass is to soft to cut on.

Hang one of these signs up with a chain in front of your bay. Although there are those few who thing the sign is just there for climbing over.

Here's a video of how to remove the honda pilot quarter windows. This isn't a debate on which way is better or worse just a simple tutorial on how to take them out.
