I went through go daddy to get the dot com, and wound up doing the web sight also.  It has gift card links and the email link works really well for quotes.
We did the build and the add-ons ourselves.

I like the 48 better personally. 24 doesn't quite cover all of the panel on some. When in a pinch I just use a trash bag and lip it over.

Tint Slayer reacted to DynamicATL in Do certain films allow cleaner installs [AEGIS]? I would love to here your opinions. . .
Sounds more like an installation issue versus being a film.  Plus Aegis is .

Man, that Aegis is the worst film to remove. The adhesive when scraped leaves a thin layer and it smells so bad, that would be enough not to use it. The color doesnt match factory at all.  I point this out to customers and show them global afteward and theyre always impressed.  Check out EWF, Global or SolarFX. Aegis doesnt even compare.

    Edit:

Sorry, jumped the gun there...only read first paragraph. No film is gonna hide conatination better than another.  It does sound like moisture is hiding the contamination.  I first chisle specs down from looking from the inside, then once the vehicle is complete, i go back and look from the outside and get any remaining specs.

So far so good- I've only removed 2 more B-glasses since the post
1 of them was a purple, bubbled up 2 piece. Both came off.  1 left a lot of glue but the tint off seems to break it down well so it was easy to get off. I'm gonna stick with it, Definitely worth a try

Tint Slayer got a reaction from Bham in TSER vs IRR
The formula you ask to find TSER is:
    TSER = 0.43*VLR + 0.03*%UV + 0.54*IRR
we already know the TSER but would need to verify IRR from given TSER

reversing and figuring to find the IRR from the given TSER:
    (TSER - (0.43*VLR + 0.03*UV)) / .54
so if the TSER is 48 and the VLR is 9 and th UV is 99, then:
    (48 - (0.43*9 + 0.03*99)) / .54
    =76.2222 IRR
just copy past this line into google search with your spec numbers replacing the TSER, VLR and UV:
    (TSER - (0.44*VLR + 0.03*UV)) / .54

The resulting IRR number seems a little high, which makes me wonder how the manufacturers figure it

Did a 2000 4runner today! Hatch was one bolt under the strap. The bg needed no shrinking versus the newer i dry shrink bottom, wet shrink top. Damn door panels had those pins that audi or vw has where you have to push in the center pin to remove. 3 bolts per panel to pull.

It's pretty obvious.... Go look at what kind of film that Dragon Distribution sells. You can put it together from there. I mean no one really says where it's made but you can kinda tell where it could be made. Good luck bro!

I agree with Tint Slayer and quality tintz if it makes you more money do it...It feels harder because you become a salesman and a installer. You might be just use to be in the shop just installing...As for changing change what you think you work is worth that just my opinion.

When you own a business you sometimes feel like you're training people to go off on their own and be a competitor. Just felt like saying that.
Shops with a good volume of work can make money off of a $150 tint job as a special (there's no such thing as a car cheaper than $150, any less and you're just pissing yourself off). As for side work, go for it, but charge top dollar so you can use the right film, take your time and get it right, and tell the customer that and pass if they won't pay, tell them it's just not worth it to do a crappy job, because it's not. Related: Make sure you give them their money's worth.
And keep your business separate from your boss's, you'd be surprised how you can become liable for things just by standing there let alone operate a business within there.
