drtint got a reaction from TNTLady in Customer calls I already bought the tint???
When they ask how much to install film they bough for their car, I tell them 250. Then they ask how much to you mine, I say 250 but mine comes with a warranty. In all my years they have always went with mine.
cheers

Oh hell no. They always wind up talking, so now half my brain has to listen and reply to you while the other half tries like hell not to burn this piece I just spent a bunch of time prepping. Oh, and don't mind if I take off your door panels do ya?
Hey, thanks for turning the ignition off for me while I tint this roll up, I had no idea I left it on. Oh, a bubble? Thanks for pointing that out to me. No, it goes on the inside.

drtint reacted to minty in DAP patterns soon only for Xpel PPF users?
Nope, I am also in the UK and was paying Xpel a monthly access fee plus meterage, the first I knew about it was when I went to access DAP and found I could no longer get in, no phone call, letter or email explaining the situation just pulled the plug on me. I can see why, they are haemorrhaging dealers to other films and want to tie them in to their film by the software. This is why I learnt to design my own patterns, I can pick and choose what film I want to use and the company with the best customer service and although Xpel film is good I believe Suntek is just as good if not better with less orange peel but easier to install, Premiumshield is as good but with far superior customer service with them bending over backwards to help the dealer rather than expect the dealer to come to them cap in hand and beg to use their product. I would rather work with a supplier than for one. I hasten to add these are my experiences of the UK PPF scene.
Where are you in the UK AWS50M?

drtint got a reaction from quality tintz in Contamination
I tell my guy's when they ask if this is good enough, "would you pay for it"? That usually takes care of that.

drtint got a reaction from Tint Slayer in Pink crush
Now you know why I have used the max and orange crush for 32 years. I have most of the the others, but I need mine slickery. If it's not broke, dont fix it. I do like the red devil for humid days

Pull up on the middle piece by getting a tool under it enough to get your fingers behind the plastic
the center piece should come off pretty much straight towards you
once that's off you can get your fingers under the side panels pretty easily and just pull toward the center of the window
should come right off
reinstall is tricky but making sure the top (top when the hatch is open) alignment tab is going in straight will get you onto the clips lining up
its a really easy removal and helps tons for installing the film because you're right they are tight

drtint reacted to Tint Eastwood in How many times have you redone a window???
I wouldn't want to know how many rolls I've thrown away over the years from redos. It was pretty bad when I first started out in FG with very little instruction. They turned me loose in a van filled with film and no checks and balances on what I was ordering.
Did I ever tell the story about the time I got to watch close to 75' of prestige roll out down someone's driveway.... Yeah that guy didn't get to carry the film anymore
