Mercedes Wagon Blown GPS

A tinter in Orlando Tinted a rear window on a 2007 Mercedes Wagon and Mercedes is saying that he used to much water and saturated the GPS module (5,000.00) and wants him to pay for it. It is mounted in the rear hatch area. What does everyone think about this?

I know the BMW 7 series are the same. Very expensive

This is when it pays to be friends with the dealerships.

If he can't convince the dealership to cover the damaged module under warranty, then he needs to call his insurance company.

That's an expensive mistake...where exactly is this module and did he tape off everything?

Was it the rear window, or one of the rear quarters??

It'd have to be the 1/4, on the pass side, I believe, but not positive on that

I did that with a BMW once, and I have one to tint tomorrow. I'm gonna disconnect the battery before I tint the back window and I'm gonna be real carefull.
