solar screens

Recommended Posts

The one big downside I've heard on the sunscreens is the possibility of them rusting. If you're going to do 'em yourself maybe you can put a protectant on first.

this stuff I am talking about is fabric, can fabric rust? :dunno j/k

I've never heard of the fabric ones for outside. Let me know how they come out.

Guess you can forget about rust - proofing them. :dunno

The screen is full of holes. When the sun is shining directly into the screen, it is rejecting the least amount of solar energy. IE, western exposure late afternoon when needed the most, it rejects the least. Wait until you try to look out during a rain. I could not tell you how many people I have installed for removed those screens because they could not stand the sight of them. They totally change the appearance of your home.
