Global reflective question

So I have been using Global QDP for awhile now and like the film but my only problem is it seems like its looking more reflective than normal. I tint a car and pull it out into the sun and BOOM it looks like I used HP on it. Any other series that do not do this? I was about to give that Huper Optik Xtreme series a try to see if its any better. Hell maybe its just the factory glass no a days

QDP is a non-metal film with a published VLR in the 3% range.  Maybe it's the glass on that particular vehicle?

I use Global HP and find it just a very subtle amount more reflective, really being picky with this, than the factory glass on most vehicles.  Always get "that matches great" from customers.  The QDP should be even less reflective without the metal....

It is normally fine its only when the sun is facing the window dead on. Believe it or not I actually had a customer come back in and want the D/P redone because he said it looked to reflective in the sun light. That was on a 2011 Chevy Avalanche.

does the film look reflective at all without being on a vehicle?  I doubt you will find a less reflective auto film....may need to fire a customer here!

haha yeah its looks a little reflective. If I hold it up next to a piece of CXP you can tell the CXP is less reflective but not by alot.   Maybe they are sending me some HP in QDP boxes

I use classic black for factory match and find it to be a better match than QDP.  I used carbon for a bit and the last car I did in it (14' Silverado) looked so green, I was surprised the guy didn't complain.

If you are concerned that the film is in the incorrect box you can always check the label inside the core to double check.  Global film should a label in the core.  If the film is cut from a 60" roll the label might be on the other cut end.

I have actually noticed this on recent rolls too.  Way more reflectivity than I am use to with QDP.

All I need is a 3" x 3" sample and I can meter the VLR in an instant.  QDP is a non-metal film with a VLR around 3%.  It should not look reflective.
