Shrinking back glass with liner facing in?

I had him use a mactac to flatten it out so no scratches from what I could see but I agree with solar perfection. I haven't tried ryker's method yet as the last time I tried I kept blowing the fuse in the garage. Once I get the new shop space in April I can't wait to give it a try!

I shrink with the liner in for times when one side of the car has a wind deflector fitted but the other side doesn't.

Or if i'm in a hurry , I will shrink it all on the one side of the car... I wouldn't recommend the practice though, as stated above, the chance of scratching the film isn't worth it.

I have done this by accident when using LLumar film, there was some fine scratches but i installed it and they weren't visible once installed, only reason i didn't redo it was the panel shop was waiting so they could detail it and give it back to the customer in an hours time lol

Daz i double cut double shrink most side windows, vt- vy commodores are one main one i don't double shrink anything that curved doesn't like it

Outside the SR coating, the only problem I would see if the glass had been replaced by a lousy aftermarket product. I have seen glass with low spots, warped areas etc. You would notice it with windwshields when the wiper blades don't clean the entire surface.
