How long per car

It takes me as long as it takes......and NOT a second more. Guaranteed.....everytime.

Having my wife run the plotter and clean windows behind me. It takes me about 45 minutes to an hour on a 4 door. But that's moving at full speed on easy cars.

Not Much to say, but when I was trained and an apprentice I was taught the motto "Clean and Quality First...then the speed will Follow" also depends on the vehicle, like that dude on that Johnson's film video that does a beetle back window from start to finish in less than 4 minutes.....more and likely he does a ton at a vw dealership or has mastered the Pull technique, so he could probably can slam out 7-8 good quality tint jobs on beetles all day (takeing a lunch). But if you do two three beetles a year then the time Will be alot longer.

I share the opinion that it takes as long as it takes to put out a quality job. That being said I can generally do most four doors in just under two hours.

Some days you may be pulling a car in, paid, and out in an hr. Then the next may be two hours of tinting and fixing and fussing on each. Cant force yourself to have so little of a timeframe that you have to let mistakes just go out the door. I'm guilty of that kind of high production. Don't get too caught up in the speed, once it comes back you lost a whole appointment time slot just fixing.

And I was told 2hrs was to long to hand cut a 4dr. To each it's own, I agree with how ever long it takes to do it right. I feel like if I don't have the time to do it right now, then when will I have time to do it right later?

I'd say two hours is a good time for a 4 dr. But I hardly ever beat it because I am answering phones, working out schedule, talking to walk-ins, signing for deliveries, loading trucks........really it's a small miracle I ever finish them
