Gotta admit dev, as much as I don't get how you knock back work and etc etc I always understand why.....

How'd that big job go you posted in potw a couple weeks ago?

I've finished that to this point 35 with about another 25K to go and have just started a multi apartment block which will keep me off the streets. :linedrink

Another brain deader today....just a rear screen on some 1977 old truck....you could only imagine it....thanks but no thanks... very politely told that it wasn't my thing.

5 minutes later the same guy rings up wanting me to elaborate in the fullest of detail why I wouldn't want his job just after giving him my basic reasons. :facepalm2

I then had to spend more time trying to justify how I run my workshop and the type of modern cars I specialise in.....and the value....probably would have been about $80.

Geez no wonder we are over it.

Gotta love those old trucks! There has been times when I quoted a price almost 3 times the amount it should be just to scare them away and they still bite the hook!  :shock And it never fails, when I schedule the job, the phone is ringing off the hook for people wanting modern vehicles tinted that would only take a fraction of the time for the same pay.

Always have! Sometimes because of the shop's reputation they still insist on having us do the job. One job I remember losing was because we told them that they would have to take their 1986 Jeep Grand Wagoneer to the car wash and spray the mud off from the weekend mud bash they previously attended. The customer said they would be back in 30 minutes and they never came back. That was a nice long lunch break that day!  :lol
