Film not sticking to back glass

I've notice when using films with a weaker adhesive like SunTek. You can never have too much slip for the bg. If so, you'll get peanuts or film rolling off the edges.

Also, sprayway glass cleaner works good To get extra tacking of the film.

I had the same issue on a new accord with qdp. Upon removal of the rear deck I found you can't run the film down very far on the bottom. (If you do it "bottoms" out) I hand cut new accord bg now and only slide down just until it covers... No more issues

I'm telling yuh. it's the window prep. take the damn towel to the edges and see for yourself haha, problem solved :)

It's not the window prep Dan. I clean good with a scrub pad & wipe everything with a microfiber & squeegee. I then rewet wipe again & squeegee before I put it on. Some of my back glasses start to do the same thing that gulfsouthtint is doing when left out to dry or if I put heat on it from the outside it starts to curl. I just keep pushing it down & watch it for awhile & have only had one come back because of the problem. It was a new Tahoe a couple weeks ago. I used EWF HP on it.

You're right, I just had 2 in here yesterday. put some heat on the back glass to dry it out a bit and started peeling up. I just swiped it back down when I noticed it right away. Basically I think we just need to let those ones stick around the shop to dry out a bit longer and swipe down anything that wants to peel up.

I could also ease up on the slip as well but i just really like to be able to move it aorund freely if I need to.

Hey Dan, that's exactly what I do. I let them sit out in the sun if there's any out. I find if I let it sit out & dry & check on it periodically it is better than putting heat on it. But sometimes you have to heat it & just keep pushing it down.
