Plotter for PPF/Tint

I'm about to purchase a 60" plotter for cutting PPF/tint and vinyl, but before I pull the trigger, I'm wondering what everyone's experience has been with the ones I'm deciding between.

Roland GX, Mutoh VC, Graphtec FC, or Jaguar V.

I've been cutting with Roland for years now, and I'm happy with Roland GX series plotters, but don't want to limited my potential because I'm 'comfortable' using them.

So what are you guys using and why did you choose it?

We use a Graphtec FC8600-100 and love it. Will be upgrading next 2 months to the 160 to cut 60" rolls.

From what I have been told about Jaguar are they are good plotters, just require more maintenance versus a Graphtec or Roland.

We run a Graphtec FC8600-100 as well. Work's well for us, don't cut a ton of ppf on it since I still prefer bulk installs but it cuts both well.

I would strongly recommend Graphtec FC models. Been using the same one for several years with no issues and they have techs throughout the US to help with keeping them maintained if necessary. Very reliable as well.

I was bouncing between Roland and Graphtec and my Llumar rep recommended the Graphtec for ease of use and reliability.

Anyone use Mutoh ValueCut plotters for PPF?

Haven't heard of them, but anything that has "value" in the name is probably on the lower quality side. A plotter is something that you should be keeping for years, so it is an investment. There is a Graphtec 160 for sale below that is used. Normal price is $6800 so might be able to get a good deal.

Mutoh does make good plotters but are more known for their printer/plotters as they are really involved with vinyl graphics printing. I would still stick with Graphtec. You can PM me if you want to chat about plotters.
