So the weather dropped way down into the 20s and 30s which means less soap in solution. Question is since it’s colder and i use less slip, should i have a separate bottle with more soap to clean. I have been using the same ratio tint slime solution for the 50-60 degree weather using it to clean and as my slip and my jobs turn out flawless every time. Just tinted a couple windows on an f250 in 35degree weather and had trash under film. No streaks in my clear crush squeegee, same cleaning process as always. Is this because there is less soap in solution?

First be sure you roll the window down and scrub clean the top edge of the glass. Make sure you whipe any drips of water that may be waiting to drop in your film as you transfer to the glass. Clean your bottles well and add some rubbing alcohol to your mix and call it your winter mix! Helps the water that may be left in your solution to not freeze. Ive been doing this for years with zero probs. :lol6

I always wipe top edge, spray out the vertical seals, scrape glass, then dry with microfiber, then squeegee twice befor install but now I’m getting trash only in the cold weather.

Do you use pealer boards for transfer or do you lay the film on the outside of the car to do your peal and transfer?

On the outside but I never have trash only when it gets cold that I see trash

For some reason when I use less soap I always get more dirt  specs...thought it was just me use medium soap heat tops of side Windows before unroll up! And seperate soapy bottle I better for cleaning  with alchohol in it....

winter can be more challenging.  I use ultra-bond all year with a touch of J&J in hot humid months.  sets quick,  just keep car inside for 15min after you finish.  I peeled off the car as well and did not wash them when they came in.  to help reduce trash in winter,  turn fan on high with recirc. on.  this will reduce dust in interior using the cabin filter.  mist interior down to keep dust from going airborne as you tint.  buy a 20x20 fan and at least a HP4 20x20 filter to remove dust in the shop.  $20.00 for fan and $10.00 for 3 pack filters.  mist upper gasket and door frames and 2 feet around your pattern when you peel,  dont forget under side view mirrors.   with doors in shops closed in winter and cars keeping windows up,  more dust/dirt builds up from lack of air flow.   side note,  use rear defrost to heat BG,  hot glass is much easier to shrink then cold.
