flat rock stan reacted to Super Dave in Future of window tinting
Paint Protection Film and Security Tint are great examples of that! Both are very profitable. Also you wouldn't believe the amount of Clear-Plex I install now. Anti-Graffiti film is another example. So you very well may be onto something with the exterior film. Who knows in 10 years that may be the norm for Res/Comm work

Early 70s I mined uranium deep under the aquifer in New Mexico. not only hard, dangerous work but water everywhere just to make it more miserable
Money was fantastic! Mines closed so I started a high rise window cleaning company that led to tinting on the inside. .....really glad I learned about gluing stuff to stuff

Worked 4,000 feet underground then 1,000 feet in the air but found I could make bank by gluing plastic to glass with both feet on solid surface. ...earth

flat rock stan reacted to neaux in FormulaOne Classic VS Global QDP
Good information. It seems essentially there is no real difference between the Formula One Classic and the Global QDP.
Thanks everyone for their input, I appreciate it!

Both are basic dyed window films, so the installation quality should be the only deciding factor. Only difference in warranty is F1's warranty is transferable to the new owner of the vehicle, but I honestly never saw why someone selling a vehicle would care.

Installing shop and tinter would be the larger deciding factor if pricing is similar.
Both films are made by quality companies.

flat rock stan got a reaction from WearTheFoxHat in How long does it take to learn bottom loading from top loading???
Simple to bottom load with seals pulled. If you are getting creases when two stepping a window be sure NOT to squeegee your sides close to the change over point. This gives you lots more leverage to make the transition without the creases.

Home depo sells the 3m pre-mask sharkskin in 24 inch wide rolls. Works great, keeps panel dry and great for headliners or other places you could grab contamination. In the paint department
Cheers
