  1. That is dirt or contamination. When it dries, a little air is trapped around the dirt and becomes more visible. During the installation, contamination is getting under your film.
  2. Just completed an upgrade on the forum, so it may look a little different here and there. There are also some new features and ranking system, enjoy!

  3. I'll be running some maintenance on the site today, so there may be some down time later.

  4. Welcome to the forum. I split your question of into its own thread. From an installer viewpoint, a % of the price is a % of the price. Plus ceramic is usually more difficult to install, so why not pay him/her that few bucks more? From an owner viewpoint, you want to keep your costs as low as possible, and that upsell is some nice gravy. If you are happy with your installer (and that's rare) it might be in your interest to cut him/her in on the upgrade IMHO.
  5. Worst headache of my life last night.

  6. I'd try to get some experience by being a helper in a tint shop.
  7. Hey, glad to hear you are keeping busy! Nice to see you again.
  8. You could always add to your services to mix things up. PPF etc.
  9. Plus burnout happens in every field, but at least this one has upside potential.
  10. Hard to make this kind of money starting over in something else. You are young though.
  11. Amateur hour right there. Needs to go back in my humble opinion.
  12. What's the other line you have in mind?
  13. Another layer of 25% would get you close at about 6.25%, plus the bare glass has a bit too.
  14. Looks like it has lifted up there. What does it look like from the outside?
  15. Careful, that stuff can scratch.
  16. Hey Dean, good to see you. I hope you're able to raise a lot.
  17. Moisture must have gotten in somehow. I hope it dries out for you,
  18. If you see it without glasses from the inside, then it's what's called 'thin film interference'. The way the light reflects off the film interferes with itself and can cause rainbows. Same reason soap bubbles are colorful. A different brand might have less of an effect.
