  1. I think that shows up like that when using polarized lenses or glasses through film.
  2. You can see the spots continue past on the outside beyond where the clear glass is. It's not the tint, but something spotting the outside.
  3. The are a little busy defending earth from aliens apparently..
  4. That sucks man. Can't help but think, if a mechanic was working on a car and has something else so worn out it broke too...they would just call and say there's going to be additional costs. Can we not do the same?
  5. It's not your job to do that. It's great to have them clean, but the final clean has to be done a certain way by the installer and right before the film is installed.
  6. That's the problem, if they didn't do it right the first time, it's not likely they will the second either. Have you shown it to them/the owner? I'd give them first crack at making it right.
  7. By the way, there's some stuff in the back, hope it's not in the way.
  8. BTW, I wont be able to pick it up until after hours, oh and I need a ride to work and back, and my dog rides in the back, hope you don't mind the hair, oh and one of the windows doesn't work. BTW, your competition is cheaper, can you match the price? Hope the baby seat isn't in the way. Sorry about the smell, I think a mouse died under the seat.
  9. Is it in all of the windows (the back too)? How does it look from the inside? What kind of film is it? Have you show it to the tinter? If so what did they say? Right now I don't have a clue, but it does look like the film from the pictures.
  10. Nice truck, I got the '01 version 😂
  11. Yep, hopefully they can get up there and look closer and save you a trip.
  12. Looks like this example but not as far gone...
  13. Hard to tell, looks like the IG failed. That's all one pane right?
  14. Once a razorblade hits that lettering it will scratch everything else it contacts. I've done it, learned the hard way. It's a rookie mistake.
  15. There's no film on the glass in the first two pics, only scratches from going over the lettering there with a razor blade and some left over adhesive. I don't know what's going on in the 2nd and 3rd photos, but they look like they are on the outside, could be from a slim jim, ice scraper, etc, who knows? Last pic just looks like poor installation of the film.
  16. Yes I did. We aren't really a review site, that is best left to sites like yelp.
  17. They know they did it. They had a chance to make it right and denied it. I'm sure you aren't the first to complain if it's been going on at least 4 years. I'd get a couple of estimates to replace the glass, just to know how much they need to pay and send them a bill.
  18. If you register an account you can post a photo and we'll be able to help more.
  19. If you can feel the scratches with your nail, they wont polish. Polishing also leaves a visible distortion.
  20. Definitely the tinter. Sorry you had a bad experience, reflects poorly on the industry.
  21. You can't really get it for passenger vehicles. It's just not made, not legal for them to go beyond 70%. Anything darker will have to be aftermarket and should comply with local tint laws.
