I quit doing dealers 10 years ago I do not miss it all.

Other than a handful of Trucks and Suv's I shrink everything I would rather deal with fingers on the outside than the inside.

I was one of the southeast dealers named in the lawsuit against solar gard for knowingly selling defective films. The conference room filled with dealers at the attorneys meetings would disagree with you. It took me 7 years to clean up the mess. All brands have their issues. But when a corporate policy is to denie the problem for years. It's not company I chose to do business with. In the end if you and your customers are happy with it great. But in my area were solar gard used to dominate the market. Non of the big guys use it anymore.
Where can I find more information on this lawsuit I am having the same problem with solar guard at this time.

Yea one section of the defrost lines already come off. Even if they are worried its gonna damage the defrost line removing the film. It probably already doesnt work anyways so what difference does it make. just kindly ask them to remove it and have it reinstalled.

Does reverse help it come out clean???
Yes on back windows it limits how long the film is exposed to the elimants if not in a clean garage.

Math is possible but why? the tint shop should have a meter, meter the back grab a few scraps and meter the front to get the closest match to what you want.

Follow the glass with your blade leave a little longer in the front and bottom to tuck below the seal, round off the corners pretty staight forward.just curious if your not very experienced in hand cutting why would you be sending them to FVD for other people to use.? :2cents

So the damage was done during return ship? Surely it was insured. I would think someone would have to cover the damage for you.
Nope they didn't insure it Sigh warehouse blames Fed-ex and Fed ex blames sign warehouse, I closed my shop for a day and drove 600 miles round trip to hand it to them undamaged to avoid this but they ship these things on a daily basis and should of taken better care packing it as well as insuring it .
This is the email I sent before I took it to them. Thank you Daniel since I have never shipped anything Freight before I decided I'm just going to go ahead and drive it up there in person on Wednesday next week the 22nd then you guys can repair it and ship it back to me thank you.Mike

Stay away from Vinyl express q series from sigh warehouse I have an expensive q42/basically a rebadged Grapghtec fc8000 sold exclusively buy sign warehouse, sent it in for service they had it 2 weeks and said they could not figure out how to fix it,they sent it back Fedex (even though they told me if I sent it FedEx they wouldn't except delivery) waited a week to ship it,didn't pack it with any care or protection and didn't insure it ..Graphtec wont touch it because it a Vinyl express even though they made it.so I am pretty much f#$cked

does anyone think these people offering cheaper prices are hurting our industry? Is there a way to fight this?
32 years since I started and the cheap sell on price guys will always be there, there are so many things hurting our industry right but you have to learn to adapt as things are always changing.
