Texastinter99 got a reaction from TintDude in Remove Dusted Crystal - Interior Glass
Best way to remove dusted crystals is by using a product called vinyl off . It’s an oil base substance so you might want to use a miro fabric rag to apply evenly to the dusted crystal . Give it about 5 min and you should be able to peel it off without it tearing . You will know it’s ready once the film start creating wrinkles .

33% is fair but not above average
when I started I made $50 per car
$25 for two fronts and $15 for a brow
20% is basically a kick to the groin
13 years later and I work for myself
i won't tell you what I get now but it's about 70% because the rest goes back into inventory
with 3 years of experience someone is going to make a lot of money off of you if you let them

Texastinter99 got a reaction from quality tintz in Side jobs?
I agree with Tint Slayer and quality tintz if it makes you more money do it...It feels harder because you become a salesman and a installer. You might be just use to be in the shop just installing...As for changing change what you think you work is worth that just my opinion.

When you own a business you sometimes feel like you're training people to go off on their own and be a competitor. Just felt like saying that.
Shops with a good volume of work can make money off of a $150 tint job as a special (there's no such thing as a car cheaper than $150, any less and you're just pissing yourself off). As for side work, go for it, but charge top dollar so you can use the right film, take your time and get it right, and tell the customer that and pass if they won't pay, tell them it's just not worth it to do a crappy job, because it's not. Related: Make sure you give them their money's worth.
And keep your business separate from your boss's, you'd be surprised how you can become liable for things just by standing there let alone operate a business within there.
