Florida...that is how they roll down there.  In GA it would be almost double that price with removal.

Apparently it looks to be the same film as Pentagon IR Film...same exact specs and both distributed by the same company.

They have 2 new lines coming out this year.  The first is Color Stable IR...it will essentially be CS with a jump in IR numbers.  They still plan on carrying both CS and CS-IR since so many people love the original CS.  Then they will have a separate high IR film which will bridge the gap between CS and CR.  I was told sometime in the first quarter of 2017 for both films.

DynamicATL got a reaction from TintWizard in Does attending Car shows/events as a vendor pay off?
We have done it all from small local meets to big events.  The smaller meets a good because they are usually free...so even if you get 1-2 customers out of it, it could be worth it.  Keep in mind though, a good portion of the people that goes to these shows are there because it is free...so usually no big spenders there.  The bigger shows can be expensive and usually do not have a return on investment.  You have to calculate how many new customers you need to attract to pay you back the investment so you could actually turn a profit.  If that number is unlikely, then usually not worth it.  We no longer do them because I would rather invest that money in online advertising that reaches a much broader customer base and brings me more customers.

Only difference is I do not boost to people who like the page and friends.  I boost to the same audience I selected which is the whole state.  I get much more feedback from new people that way.

I wouldn't try to be tinting at the show.   Hard to talk to people if you are and the actual time goes so fast when tinting a window.

We use Illustrator, but you can also use CorelDRAW.  Illustrator is a brain overload and even though I know a lot now, I still don't know chit.

DynamicATL got a reaction from TintDude in Vinyl stripes above or below ppf?
I have only heard of PPF going over vinyl with the only issue being if their matte like said already.  Tons of cars come out the dealership with stripes and get PPF installed like this GT350 below that was done by Autoskinz in CA.  It has XPEL Ultimate on top.

We tinted mine the same, with the gap.  It doesn't really bother me, but one day we will remove the glass and tint the whole thing.  Eventually we will do the same for customers too, but we just don't have time for that now.  We use to offer it for an extra charge and 99% of the time people didn't want to pay it.

DynamicATL got a reaction from DaHatta in Layering two different brands of tint
What JH said...a hatch with Huper Ceramic 5, 15, or 20 is much harder to install since it is a thicker film.  It requires more heat which causes the ghosting effect.  We got to the point of being able to install it on a lot of difficult vehicles, but took a lot of practice and experimenting with several methods.  The Huper film was only more expensive because it was a bigger section of the vehicle (versus what you did in the front) and I am sure the shop tacked on some for the difficulty.  Photosync would end up being more expensive than the Huper Ceramic...more in the range of Huper Drei.  In GA, Huper Ceramic goes for $400-$500 depending on the vehicle while Photosync goes for $700+.  A good sign that they did not know how to shrink it was the fact the film had to be special ordered meaning they probably never tried to install it.  I saw work from two other Huper dealers (one in GA and one in AL) and neither did a great job installing the Huper Ceramic.  The sad part was the one in AL is a "Master Training Facility" for Huper Optik.

The problem is you can have all the experience in the world in tinting, but still not shrink the harder films.  Since he had to order the film, he probably has never tried that shade.  Huper Ceramic 5-20 is a completely different film compared to the 30+ when talking about installation...tons of Huper dealers don't stock it.  I would see if you can make a deal with him.  Let him redo it since he "can do it right" and if he is unable to do it properly then he needs to refund the money.

I wanted to add a recent change that we did that seems to be helping with people bring tardy.  It has only been a week, so a little premature, but so far so good.  If you have a scheduling system that texts your customers reminders, then make sure you add in the reminder to be on time or early.  It took me a minute to reword it right in ours since the character spaces are limited, but all of our appointments so far have been on time or even early.  Yesterday alone one was 30 minutes early and another 50 minutes early.  The 50 minute early person even said he came in early because of the text.
