Not a hard car, but falls in the category of kid car/commuter. Get it detailed and bring it empty. No cups or trash in the doors/console etc. leave a clean micro fiber towel in your driver door pocket that’s noticeable. It’s way easier to produce clean work on a clean vehicle. This will also make it look like you care about your car. Which might help your installer care more. Nothing worse than working on a trashed car with dog hair floating around inside lol!

Is your back window tagged with the Lexus logo in a corner somewhere like your door glass is? That’s ma first question for a customer that it sounds like I’d give the go away price. Too many variables on an old car to start pointing fingers imo.

Front doors and windshield on a buddies car today. Pretty sure the back was lulu but qdp 32 ceramic and 80 on the shield matched up great.

I’ve been doing this since 04 and probably would’ve given you the go away price cuz  I wouldn’t do as good of a job as I guy that does flat glass and auto. Share your newfound respect for my industry that can be made to look easy, but in fact is one of the hardest to be great at. 

Take it back man bring some donuts or something, they’re losing money redoing windows but need to know if they care.  they could have much pickier customers. 

 try Classic black in short rolls 40/36/20 in x 25/50 ft good film. Good base line of how a decent film should be to work with.

I’ve seen a replacement part for the ends on something like this. Can’t remember what model but if you get it figured out buy extras and sell em up front. Customer will appreciate the extra thought involved in your install.

I haven’t double cut a quarter window in over a decade. Scored a window and I was done, copy on peel board.
