Is that by absorption, reflection or both in the near infrared (NIR)?
 
Understand NIR is not heat until it is absorbed and converts to re-radiating far infrared (FIR)... so marketing as shielding 90% IR heat gain may be misleading, unless it has the capacity to shield both NIR and FIR. The latter may be true, if the coating does work as stated in winter to retain man-made heat (in the FIR).

Wow that was cool. I remember my brother trying a can of spray tint on his car when i was little, think he got it from the J.C. Whitney catalog lol. How were removals back then?

Yes sir, i typically reverse roll all my windshields. Also use the soak shield rope and dash towel to minimize the water going behind the dash!

My experience with Legacy Window Film - formerly SolarTint window film. Color stable my ass!
 
This is their “Premium” color stable 20% about 1 year after install.

I have been using this film for over 2 years now, and so far its great film to work with, shrinks fast and I promise this film will stick to the glass fast, even in the cold, I put film on a two side windows on a Friday even, the customer decided that he needed darker tint on Saturday around 12, and guess what... that sucker was stuck to the glass... talk to Ralph, I'm sure he will give you good deals. Thanks.
