Does CPFilms Manufacture The Films They Sell?

Yes. With that exception of raw polyester. . . . . .

Correct. This is consistent with my posted remark. I admire their honesty.

If you were to put a roll of their film on a scale and weigh it, more than 90% of the total mass is the raw polyester (which they do not make). In light of this fact, some might say that calling them a manufacturer is pure semantics. I won't argue, however. They are an industry pioneer, the largest player in the game and I respect what they do over there. Whatever you choose to call them, they are very good at making window film.

Few minutes on Google bring up a lot about chip manufacturers...

Yizheng Chemical Fibre Co. in China was one and the blurb I read said that in 2002 they were the biggest producer (btw, educational question for somebody who cares to explain: The article on them said they make 'bottle grade polyester chips', are those the same 'grade' of chips used in window film? I like to learn things)

Doesn't Dupont and Mitsu make some too? I'd swear I read that on here a long time ago...

Not that any really matters, since I'd assume film manufacturers (other than Global) wouldn't make their chip supplier common knowledge ?
