trigger start storch with wide flame. home depot and lowes carries them. Remember the tempature differential between the glass and film. heat guns are slower and more forgiving and the bg is your heatsink. a cold back window can pull the film down to quick in comparision to the rate at which it shrinks. IE> hotspot or starburst. turn the rear defrost on if it is below 75 degrees for a min to warm it up and you will have better results. propane is good and with trigger start you can vary the flame a little. i have seen alot of people using map gas as well. it is alot hotter flame. depends on your film and how it reacts to heat is the best choice for you. hp's and ceramics need more heat as a general rule and less for standards and 1 mil films. we are typically taught to move heat guns in circular motion to shrink, with torch its more a side to side for optimal results
