Throwing in the automotive towel

Recommended Posts

Starting in September we will no longer do any automotive window tinting. After going over our profit margin for retail automotive sales, we have discovered it isn't profitable for us to continue to pay rent on a shop for automotive use. We will be moving out of our shop the last week of August, and operate our business from home.

For some of our repeat customers, we may consider going mobile for them.

Ive wanted to do this for quite some time. We have already ended our relationship with our dealership account, which was another fiasco. Feels good!
Yep, real close to this point myself. We do our first FG job on friday... if we can book 1 or 2 FG jobs per week along with our auto detailing and windshield chip repair we will stop doing auto as well... by the time we pay for employees to tint a car, have them come back 2 times cuz the new guy effed up the back window, then spend another 30 mins myself afterwards pushing out bubbles for them, we dont make chit off auto tint jobs... not to mention almost all of our auto customers are low ballers, trying to haggle us down on price.... then eye pick the crap out of the tint "speck there, speck here" after the job is done.

Just makes more sense after a while.
