I've seen it done like Ryker's talking about. Looked surprisingly like the black border on a modern car. I've got a '78 Lincoln I'm going to try it on soon.

answered your PM too but I have used the Betaprime 5500 1-step glass primers for any glass painting that I need to do like this. If it is smaller spots I use a Testor model paint pen....

Ryker, what's the curing time before tint install and how does the tint adhere to it?

the primer dries quick...maybe 5 minutes and it is dry unless you have it really thick like the camaro I did with it...then it was a bit longer overall dry time.

I have not had an issue with tint not sticking to it but I also have not overlapped it by much either.
