GTI Bac Window

Hello just wondering how you guys handle the back window on these. I remove the top plastic trim around the window, makes for a much cleaner easier install.

Dry shrink, one piece, though I don't usually remove any plastic on those hatches. And careful when shrinking the bottom corners.

When I did auto, I did them the same way, unless I thought the plastic might crack.

I anchor a bit lower on Golfs and leave a bit of extra film to stretch and pull if needed.

I never remove plastic trim from the hatches in VWs , the plastic is soft and the clips are held in hard...a bad combo.

im the opposite anchor high push more film to the bottom,I remove all the plastic 30 sec once u have done 1 u know where to pry all comes off easy , never cracked or broken any clips , the golf is the easy 1

I have never cracked a panel or had any problems with clips either. I take it nice and easy and have it off in about 3mins.

no need to remove anything , stretched to the max on them bottom corners though , extra 15 min. on the shrink time no biggie

Where do you guys typically anchor then?  dead center? little to the top or little to the bottom?
