Taking banner off windshield that's tinted

Is it possible to strip a banner of a windshield that is on top of a fully tinted windshield and salvage the windshield? If it leaves glue behind what would be best to get it off?

maybe but don't hold your breath that it would come off.  Glue removal would be something like "goof off" or some sort of chemical like that...plastic razor blades along with it might be ok.... all depends on the film and so many factors.

But if you do manage to get it off without sacrificing the film use a soft cloth and something oil based, like WD40 or eucalyptus oil to remove any left over adhesive.

Lighter fluid or kerosene would work good for the glue

OK so you guys are going to laugh but I know a few have done the same thing. The first strip i put on i messed it up. Went to cut the other using the liner as a template. Cleaned the glass peeled the old liner off sprayed the new liner and installed. Maybe Tinting at 5 am isn't such a great idea. Tintdude do you think you could come up with a duh badge?
