Are film cores good for making wine bottle holders ?

When I drop white plastic cores on concrete, they sound like star wars light sabers, and waving them around with torches inside the cores resemble light sabers too!

What other novel ideas are out there for repurposing film cores (and the ends too!)

Cut a groove out and it's good for holding your heat gun

Cut them into short lengths and mount them to a convenient place and use them for spray bottle and heat gun holders.

Screw a end cap on one end so it will stand up and use it to put discarded razor blades in, also to extend a drain under a peel board.

One of our lads has a mate who does Cosplay costumes, he makes guns and the like out of them. We do the usual heat gun holster and soft template storage. I have some tube stock trees growing in some chopped down cores.
