Practice, practice, practice. Find better way to clean window, and better way to handle the film when you take the liner off and till you get it to stick to the glass.

As you get the hang of it, you'll learn more and more, better way to do everything. Even experienced installers with 15+ years learn new things.

The right tools help too...I use a 6" unger for most if it and a stroke docter or titan for the bottom. I also reverse roll them all. One advantage of the reverse roll is the ability to have it rolled up in the car, then clean 'right' before install.

I never used YouTube for 26yrs,,til last spring for a 2012 vette rear looking for a better way than wet shrinking

I looked here on tintdude,,,but it was already "beat to death" but somebody drew a picture how to anchor/lock the film,,lol

I have never reverse rolled a auto rear glass and don't want to either

I guess the saying is true in your case "Can't teach an old dog new tricks" :lol   Although it isn't true if the dog was originally taught, to be taught.
