can you shrink a back glass using a steamer?

What's it going to hurt for trying it,,seeing that you have a steamer and tint and a back glass that needs some shrink

I don't think it will be hot enough,,but my steamer play time is just a small one that didn't hold much water and It didn't make old cement film peel off of a trans am rear,,but it softened it for razoring it easier

I used a "bic"lighter for a older easy rear glass while back when forgot heat gun I guess

I played around one day trying to shrink a back glass with an on-demand type steamer and it can be done, it just takes longer to do than using a heat gun.

Film starts shrinking around 100 to 140 depending on the poly mfg. 240 is melting zone.

Ive thought of trying this too just out if curiosity. Its seems that the steamer would be hotter, since i can pass my hand in front of the heat gun real fast, but doing that with a steamer would burn like hell.
