Dealer work quality is bad

Been seeing a lot of bad dealer intallations.  Huge 1/4 inch top edge gaps, light leaks, & even unacceptable contamination.  I believe this is due to dealers paying next to nothing. No great installer works for peanuts and any that does will wise up in no time and quit!

 

Heres a before and after of a 17' fusion i did.  Had 1/4 inch top edge gap and blasts of contamination.

yea the peanuts the in house tinters get for the tint job doesn't motivate them to do nice installs. I love doing these cars for customers because they become your forever loyal client after.

 Bomb dropped it for the win! Hadnt rolled it up yet to finish. I like pointing it out to custy and making better. 

 

I just wanna say if you tint for a dealer and get paid

fairly, good for you. If not, just quit....remember dealers need us, we do not need them. Its bad for a tinter not getting payed what theyre worth, but whats even worse is that it takes a lot of work away from the rest of us. 

 

Fronts were just as bad, front 1/4s had light leaks. Heres a before and after.

The dealers do not allow the installers to do any disassembly either. Nobody wins. I've heard the pay to be $15-30 per car. A recipe for disaster. Hurts the tint industry for sure.

That's just dependent on the dealer as far as disassembly goes.
