What do you guys do about "pits" (weld splatter) in the glass that has a defroster?

I know a side window or quarter you can blade it down as best as possible and let it ride,,,, but what about when it's the rear glass??

How do you knock them down without hazing the glass with sandpaper ??

Let the custy know it's going to look like shat either way and let them decide if they want to lose the defrosters, and suggest just getting new glass.

Yep, it sucks though. My install looks like I used sand in it.  :mad
