Tesla side door’s cracking

Be careful we have tinted thousands of Tesla’s today two side doors cracked with very little pressure cars fresh of the lot

Wow, that's crazy.  I wonder if they got a bad batch of glass.  Is this a model you have tinted before?

We have tinted thousands of teslas model y and one Tesla s side doors cracked hopefully a bad batch but this is going to suck to deal with looks like they changed manufacture

Yeah, that would never be covered as anything else with Tesla. They are #1 for the worst quality control. The customers suck too, bunch posers. I charge a bunch for dealing with these.

Can you elaborate? What exactly do you mean it cracked? Was it while squeegeeing or just closing the door? I tint a lot of these POS. Yes I said POS these are the lowest quality vehicles on the market. They cut a lot of corners to make these vehicles.

Appears to be laminated glass with each glass layer being thin and prone to cracking easily with the right amount of stress in just the right spot. And, may not even be heat strengthened, if they like to cut corners.

 

Edit: Don't use any metal pull back tool for the weatherstrip at the bottom; it may crack this glass, too, if pressure is forcefully applied while the tool is touching the glass edge.

They have had their issues for sure but most manufacturers do, Honda alone just recalled 1.2 million vehicles. Ford is the #1 selling truck but commonly referred to "Fix Or Repair Daily" and "Found On Road Daily" for a reason. I won't even get started on Dodge.
