Figured it out. You pull out a piece on the one side , then depress the inside with a screwdriver

The key is not not let your mind race .
If your into outer body experiences , dimensional astral projection, etc. It's a great tool. If not, it's a long time to kill in a pod with your thoughts lol

It depends on what you mean by "colder climates " if your talking near the freezing mark of 32 degrees, I don't consider that cold. If your talking " the moisture from your breath crystallizes when it leaves your body cold, then yes , I do that here in Canada [emoji1063] when it's -30 F
Feel free to pm me your number and I can give you some tips to endure endure any temperatures you'll ever come across and have no comebacks.

Correct . It acts as a "shallow bathtub" that you can drive over . You just clamp the corners

Oh for god sakes it was a quick pic for the request . Not "a staged pic" .
All blades are picked up with a magnet before car is removed .

So I tried the heatgun on a Forte bg and took 10 min to shrink it, not practical at all not to mention arm fatigue.
Milwaukee being a stand up company reimbursed me as it did not suit the purposes of shrinking tint in a timely manner

I just took this picture 10 minutes ago and yes the floor is dirty because it's being used to make money lol.
So we are in the thick of winter right now, I use 4 buckets on each side for the "drip main areas of a car" for winter run off, the first pond liner you see, if you look in the corner you'll see it pinned, that's for water eventually collects without hitting my drywall, simply suck it up with a shopvac, the rest of the floors done in pondliner. Never peels, you never slip, easy to clean, easy to sweep, does not collect dust to become airborne. It truly is forever. As I said, I've been dealing with shop floors for over 30 years in respect to tinting, this has been the best solution I have found to date

I got tired of chasing my tail for the 20 yrs of treating tint bay floors. Nothing holds up over time . Finally 10 yrs ago a took 60mil pond liner and rolled it out like a rug over the whole floor . Done. Forever.
No peeling, no slipping when wet, no dust , easy to sweep.
If you ever move, take it with you .
10 yrs later , still happy with it . Did the same thing to my second shop 5 yrs ago

It's been a heck of a ride but my dad and I have hit the milestone of tinting together as father and son.
Not sure if that's a record or not but though it was kind of cool [emoji4]

I've shrank a bg in 20sec with a modified 45,000 propane burner . Posted it here about 10years ago just for kicks . Kind of cool, but who needs to rush that bad lol. My norm is about 2 min. Always using 2 heatguns together.

I have saved THOUSANDS of $$$ doing a 30sec per vehicle walk around before picking up any car from a dealership or before the customer leaves my property . You wouldn't believe the damage I've pointed out to customers before they leave and had NO idea before I eye fuuked the car. It's seriously the best invested time ever in this industry .
The highest ratio of "surprise damage " will always be the customer that bought a "new" car. "New" to him but its from a used car dealer and its a couple of years old.

Good thread and idea..saves saying the same things al the time
It only takes once to accidentally hit a child and you can't take it back and just say "oops" and fix your fender..the child doesnt get to have a say in your decision to go with dark tint on your front roll downs and/or windshield.

I thought I'd bump this topic after 2 yrs of commenting on it only because it now has the test of time. Every comment I made still stands true on it + with the new Tint Tek 20/20 version , it's only better. My first post on his subject is not just theory but is true. If your a hand cutter, get the system and let it pay for itself in time saved just because of having the system, pay yourself more for your hand cut talent for the few customers out there that still want tint that way (old school)I'm thankful for this program for allowing me to survive another busy , growing tint season as a solo tinter. Thanks Tint Tek 20/20.
