1. Wanting to try some of this myself. Talked to one of the trainers, he spoke highly of it and says it should be the new top dog.

Considering my rep doesn't even bother to talk to me, I'll have to call Support and get pricing and see about getting a roll in for my truck.

Sounds like you have a excellent rep [emoji23]
2. I agree with TNTlady and KonSiva . I’ve worked part time for shops that consider themselves “high end” recently , and bottom line is they only care about quantity not quality. With the technology of plotters anyone who can half ass install a pre cut pattern thinks their a window tinter. However Looking at the classified /employment forum  here on Tintdude  is that there are lots of shops all over the country that get it and are willing to pay a good installer what they’re worth.

100 percent agree
3. Update to the update.... 2 screws on every panel, 1 behind handle 1 below armrest. Pull seal first tint window then pull screws pop panel off to put seal back in

Thank you very much. You saved me from a heart attack
4. Just wanted to say thanks OverLord for his huge HUGE help on a 1995 C4 Corvette back hatch yesterday.

Burned up a couple pieces of (ceramic) film on my own and became super frustrated. Car has been sitting in my shop for a week while I mentally cooled down and debated how much more film I wanted to trash.

David was nice enough to stop by the shop and lend me a hand. When I say lend I mean he drove well over an hour each way to school me on how to tint a 'Vette.

I've not been doing this as long as a lot of you but days like yesterday give me hope. This truly is an industry of sharing knowledge and helping your fellow tinter. Hopefully I can put in as many successful years as some of the guys here.

Appreciate the help man, more than you can imagine. Tell Ann thanks too for being patient with us. My fiancé gets antsy when its "guy time" because she knows the clock almost seems to stop.

Next time we will have to catch up for something less work related, maybe when jh812 is back in this neck of the woods.

Great to read. Way to show leadership DAVID
5. The ppf mfrs would like you to think that it adds value to your car. In fact it does not. Calculate the initial cost to instal. Then deduct what you are secretly being penalized at trade in time to remove the stuff from a dealer, and it easily adds up to north of 2-3k. Now add in the possibility of the paint coming off with the old PPF .. or the ppf itself coming off in pieces the size of your fingernail in the future.. and that number easily doubles.. or more. Dealers like to sell it on new cars because they get to step on it and add gross to their sale. That same dealer hates seeing the car come in on trade or have to bring it to auction with ppf.
     It’s s suckers bet.

You’re not going to sell anything with that kind of attitude my friend. Open your mind, practice and check the EGO
