    so I have one foot into that generation while the other is in the previous one.  So I respect how many people look at social media

    I know this is a diff post cause I'm a noob.... but whatever. :lol2

    I also agree with that. I'm from the pre-social media age... forums were it. And I totally get the appeal of FB and the like... I'm a member of several groups, although I haven't logged into them in forever. FB has a terrible search engine... like, terrible. So I don't think it's that great. And like TD said - people add other people to groups without their permission, or desire to join said groups.

    For so many of those reasons, TD.com seems be have a more negative connotation associated with it, which I do not agree with at all, and feel is totally unwarranted, but it is what it is. So personally, I don't think a FB page would help, or be useful. I do agree that an IG account could help...

    TD.com has been around forever... it will be around forever (hopefully!! :) )  Myspace died..... I can *potentially* see FB dying too - not any time soon though. But tides change...

    inexpensive eBay tint

    That could very well be a reason for why its how it is.

    Nothing good is cheap, and nothing cheap is good. That's just the way things are in life. The bottom line is regardless of what they claimed they sold you, you have no idea what is really is. There is so much junk out there.....

    Hard to judge something when there are so many unknowns when it comes to the product. IMO

    Especially in window tint since so many installers are commission based, so in this case, he might not be compensated for his time.

    @Tinted

    Exactly that. If the owner was complaining... then yeah, I would be pretty pissed. But if an employee was..... it would annoy me, but at the end of the day not a big deal.

    I do not think you are being unreasonable. The job they did was sub-par. Two options - fix it.. or remove and refund. :thumb

    the second they thought I couldn’t hear them I heard them saying

    I wouldn't put a whole lot of stock in that... I dunno. Not sure what industry you work in, but when working day after day with customers.... venting, warranted or not, is not out of the norm. I remember one job I was on - it was a house tinting job - I went on this long rant... like... it was bad. And the customer heard. It wasn't about them - just another work situation, but after the fact I noticed the door was closed in the room we were in... they closed it. People vent.  I'm not saying it's right.... it's just a 'people' thing... IMO.

    That being said... I'm not sure I would give them a 3rd try. See if they will remove the tint and refund you. (If you keep the tint and get a refund - that puts you, sorta, in a better position then you were at day 1. which is better then how you were before you went with them. - sorry... fan of the people's court. lol You gotta be made whole, but not better then you were before the issue arose)

    Of course if they actually scratched your glass... that's a different story. still.. .They need to make you whole to where you were the moment you arrived at their shop. IMO
