Best to pass on these. Don’t use blades or scrub pads. The coating is best removed dry with a bunch of fresh blades.

Sweeps do not come off easily. Top seal on back doors do. I still pulled the panels, it was sketchy with the way they do the trim around the handles.

Show me a company that isn't looking out for their shareholders and I'll show you a company that is at risk of suit for neglecting their fiduciary obligations.
Critical thinking requires the removal of personal opinions in the examination of the subject matter, which you are so far not capable of on this given subject.
I am not beholden to any company except my own and will choose what suits my market, just as you will. Fair enough.
You are welcome to make up your own opinions, you are not welcome to make up your own facts.
My personal opinion is that each company will do as they see fit with their respective products and brands. Your "facts" as stated is that Xpel has not had a failure. The overarching issue you point to as "sub par" is your dislike in their marketing, which would be fair if not for the veiled slander.
It's ok not to like their processes without slandering the products as a whole because of a personal grievance. That's where I take issue, because of the harm your intending on the company as a whole.
For the edifice of all that is reading, I am not an Xpel dealer, rep or associate, nor do I plan to be.

In my personal experience, I would avoid franchises like windshield repair. There is a reason those businesses are franchises, it's the only way to make them profitable, like a pyramid scheme.

Our shop did something similar back in the day. It was kind of a PITA and results were mixed. Maybe they have gotten better.

Havn’t doe one, but Ive noticed pulling sweeps cant be done as much anymore. A lot panels now really hook around the sweep making it necessary to remove entire door panel.

There is plenty of junk products made in the USA. I've never seen that printed on a product and thought, must be high quality. Premium products can come from any country, just depends on the build house that is making it.

Companies really should say "Assembled in the USA" if using "globally" sourced material. IMHO
It seems deceptive to use "Made in the USA" in these cases, as it is ostensibly used as a selling point to people concerned about manufacturing leaving the US.

Here I used a steamer to streach a headlight from edge to edge yesterday. I know it's not tint but I reach for what I think is the right tool for whatever task is at hand.
FWIW I've never seen anyone else do one of these to the edge like this. Most probably wouldn't bother. Going the extra mile is how I've keep a good name and keep my clients happy long term.

Pull slow and if the glue won't come with the film, just soak and wait. I've gotten to where I use hot water when I soak and resoak to try to heat it more quickly and evenly.
Also found that if I spray with hot water when I pull the glue steams and pulls with the film alot better.

Yeah, I black bagged it with soap/water for 1/2day rewetting every 30/40min. A few lines came out uneven but didn't take 'em off completely. Maybe about 3inches worth over the whole surface.
What I learned is to just not be in a hurry. If it looks like it's tacking, stop and soak again.

Redesigned 23. Front sweeps still pull from the top. Slight tug on the rear of the panel to release. I soaped the gaskets to make toploading easy.
Windshield was too tight to put a soak roap in so I recommend cleaning first before shrinking and final rince before installing to not over saturate all at once. Also recommend taping the suade pillar covers and putting a microfiber over the headsup display, or not if living on the edge is your thing.

It's fairly common to have a caller ask "How much to do a small sedan?"
Invariably it's some kind of European car that is more difficult to tint than your average Camry.
Note that a small sedan can be an hour's work, or it can be 3 hours work.
This is why it's crucial that we know what we're quoting on.
I see your point that just because it's a Mercedes we shouldn't punish you with a higher price, but if that Mercedes is a bigger job then we reserve the right to charge more.
Hopefully that back window isn't laminated glass too, as not only will it be more difficult to work on out of the car, there's a high risk of breakage during refit and those Merc rear windows don't come cheap.

I know someone who had their front door redone 3X like you.
Leather Door Card Utterly damaged due to the presumably too much slip/liquid/etc ....
Decent Shop - just a most likely a new installer at the craft who should have not been working on a luxury vehicle
I guess since the installer get's paid per job....shop owner made the installer do the redo on the second and third pass
Shop ended up buying a new $2200 for a new door card

Had one in today, definitely recommend pulling the door panels. One 7mm behind the rubber plug behind the door handle, two t-25s below the armrest in easy view and two 7mm at the bottom of the panel. Bump upwards and comes right off.
Definitely need a sandbag if the wife, girlfriend and apprentice are all gone at the same time.
